Our most important undertaking is namely …
to train the operations and maintenance personnel who work at Swedish nuclear power plants. We also contribute to the efforts of ensuring better reliability in operations by exchanging experiences from the operations of Nordic nuclear power plants.
Our head office is in Nyköping. The latter is responsible for management and centralised development work but we also have training departments which are closely associated with the nuclear power plants in Forsmark, Oskarshamn and Ringhals. An important part of our comprehensive training activities are the simulators, where operators can train in an environment which has been designed to simulate the control room of the nuclear power plants.
KSU was established in 1972 and has been part of the Vattenfall group since 2000.
Business Idea
Our vision is to be a world leader in nuclear training. We define "leading" as providing the highest quality, best efficiency, strongly requested and constantly improving training.
Quality, environment and work environment
Our operations must be characterised as having a regard for the environment. Consideration must be given to the health, safety and environment of current and future generations. Our work must strive towards what is economically reasonable, technologically possible and environmentally motivating, and comply with laws and regulations.
Management
Together with our employees, we strive for a high level of quality in all our operations, to continuously develop and to create good conditions for providing superior training.
