Connections, external switchgears

The course is aimed at operations and maintenance personnel involved with connections in external switchgear/operations rooms. The focus is on practical steps from a submitted work request/disruption request to the commissioned plant.

The course deals with relevant events from the nuclear power plants that could create new working methods and procedures.

The main content of the course

• Workflow and terminology
• Connection confirmation
• Control of DO in switchgear
• De-energisation check
• Applying and removing earth
• Switching on and off
• Final exercise

The course lasts for 18 hours divided into three days.

Personnel from the power stations and contractors must apply via their immediate manager in accordance with the procedures for the power stations in question.
