Chemistry and Materials

Many tasks require an understanding of the impact of chemical processes on the process/plant e.g. inspection of certain parameters, coating of filters, chemical dosing, water management, gas management, etc. The purpose of the course is to increase this understanding.

The course is aimed at prospective station technicians/process operators and other personnel with tasks relating to the plant’s operation and/or maintenance.

• Materials, choice of materials and corrosion
• Water Treatment
• Materials in the reactor core and fuel.
