Basic Waste

This course is aimed at all personnel in the nuclear power industry who need basic knowledge of the Swedish system for management of active waste.

The course takes two full days and a half day with instructor-led lessons, exercises and self-study. The hope is that the mix of students gives the course an extra dimension through experience feedback and contact-building activities.

Prior knowledge

No specific prior knowledge is required.

The requirement for participation in this training is to comply with one of the following:

• that they have undergone security clearance, including background checks, in accordance with the Security Protection Act (2018:585) without any issues.
• being employed at one of the Swedish nuclear power plants and can present valid access documents/passes for the respective nuclear power plant.

Security vetting is carried out in connection with a person being employed or engaged either personally or as a representative of a company in activities relating to Sweden’s security.
