PRESS RELEASE 2024-03-08: Collaboration for new nuclear power and fossil freedom creates new working opportunities
The key to succeed in the ongoing energy transition is through collaboration. KSU and Blue Partner are successfully collaborating with the goal of developing a new nuclear power in Europe focused on Small Modular Reactors, SMR. In the upcoming week, experts from both companies will gather in Västervik for further professional training.
The hope is that new SMR-reactors will be operational in approximately ten years, to complement the more traditional and bigger nuclear power plants. A prerequisite for it to succeed is that everyone expected to work in the sector are equipped with the right competences, and that requires an international Training Service Provider.
A team consisting of experts from both parties are currently analysing, designing, and developing trainings for different roles that will be operating in new nuclear power, SMR.
– With the entire world’s energy transition, several new working opportunities are coming, and nuclear power is a really hot topic throughout the industry, as expressed in a joint statement by Peter Lindvall, the CEO of KSU, and Thomas Ragnarsson, the CEO of Blue Partner.
– It is important to refine all existing competences and find new skills to prepare for the transition.
In summary, the collaboration will entail that KSU and Blue Partner go hand in hand to secure the right competences and resources required in the future nuclear power expansion.
– KSU is a veteran in the education industry and have been offering, for more than 50 years, competence supply to the Swedish nuclear power plants, an assignment that runs parallel with the mission to educate for new nuclear power. The consultants of Blue Partner are fast, flexible, and possess competences that not only make the assignment possible but also effective, as stated by Maria Skogqvist, Head of Business Development at KSU.
This collaboration is a clear symbol that both companies are taking their responsibility for a sustainable future seriously. We are convinced that this partnership will be a source of inspiration and success for the whole industry.
